Photo of the Day: "Snow is my favorite holiday"

I'm in work avoidance mode. Not sure where that came from. Today, my diversionary tool was this blog. I spent some time reading back through the posts when I started and actually used to write on this thing. What happened to me? I used to be kind of funny! I suppose as most parents will tell you, kids fill up your life to the point where you tend to lose yourself. I'm sure being a work at home mom exacerbates that. Reading back through the blog verified that for me today. It's kind of sadenning. :( I'm not going to make any promises, but I am hoping to write more (beyond my secret side project that no one will ever know about. Don't ask. This is not an invitation to ask, because I won't tell. I'm serious.). Hopefully, some of those words will land on this blog in an intellectually pleasing and giggle inducing manner.

Happy New Year! I have high hopes that 2010 will be a good one. Let's keep our fingers crossed. :) I need to introduce yet another new family member! Meet Bronco, Ethan's 8 week old mini australian shepherd. Since Quincy's death in October, poor Sasha has been horribly depressed. I wasn't going to start looking for another dog until spring (who likes to housetrain in the winter!) but I just couldn't deal with her sadness anymore. I felt so bad for her and I think her depression was making me depressed. My dear friend Kristen led me to research mini aussies and well, one thing led to another, and here's Bronco. He is such a good dog. Two days in the house and only two accidents. He so sweet and cuddly, and is slowly but surely getting more comfortable around Sasha, enough to jump on her and do his little puppy growl. Sasha has handled the transition so well, I'm so proud of her! As Ethan put it this morning, "Sasha has agreed with Bronco being here." Bronco is technically Ethan's dog, and he's done a great job, with Ty's help, of taking care of his new charge.
