The Princess Turns One
Here I am beginning another entry with how sorry I am for not updating frequently. I think we all just need to get to that place of acceptance where we realize it will be a very long time before I have the time (and brain cells available) to update often. I will give the empty promise of planning on doing so, though, if that makes it any better. On with the family news ...

Sara turned one a few weeks ago. :( Totally breaks my heart. She is still not walking, but is finally drinking out of her cup herself. I've been signing to her for more than six months now, and all she does is laugh at me. She'll do an occasional sign, just to keep trailing me along, but more than anything it's just plain humorous to her. She is saying a few words, though, like "up," and "dog" in addition to "ma-mom" and "dada".

Ty is kicking butt in school. He loves it and his teacher and friends. Ethan is starting to like school, but I don't know that he'll ever have Ty's vigor for it. With Ty it's an exuberant, "When do we leave for school?!" and with Ethan it's a dreadful, "I don't want to go to school!" But once we get there he has a blast and loves hanging with his pals (mostly girls, by the way).

We've been enveloped by a bunch of snow for going on two months now (believe it or not this is really odd for the front range), so he and Ethan are going kinda kooky. They get to go sledding with their dad every now and then, but there are days when we just have to play inside. All day. Every day. Did I mention it can be several days in a row? Everyone, please pray to the sun gods that they'll hover over Northern and Central Colorado for a bit to melt the ice and snow from every little crevice known to human kind. It's really beginning to freak me out. My hands are ALWAYS cold. I can't stand it any longer.

Not much more to report. I'll try to get something up again before the kids all head off to college.
